I believe that learning math is like building with lego; You need a sturdy base in order to build tall without the structure being shaky. Many students tend to fail harder questions because their lack of strong fundamentals. Hence, by teaching students to break down each question to their roots and skills to deal with the questions, they will be able to easily tackle down the hardest problems.
